Supporting English Learner Students

Epic California Academy is committed to supporting English Learner students as they develop English language proficiency and achieve success in all academic subjects. As a non-classroom-based independent study program, Epic provides personalized instruction and flexible learning opportunities tailored to each student’s needs.

English Learner students receive both integrated and designated English Language Development (ELD) support. Supervising teachers work closely with families to provide targeted instruction, resources, and support that help students strengthen their English
language skills while accessing grade-level curriculum.

Student progress is monitored through multiple measures, including the English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC) and other academic assessments. Epic also values strong partnerships with families through the English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC).
